We've gathered everything you need to know about fall camping this season - including when the colors will be in peak, recommendations on the best spots to view the foliage, as well as fall activities & events you won't want to miss at our campground.
New Hampshire Fall Foliage Prediction Map
Although nobody truly knows when the exact dates of peak fall foliage will be, we can assume that peak colors will hit the Milton area in early October, around October 2-9, 2024. Early October is the perfect time to continue your family's annual Halloween traditions in the crisp, autumn temperatures. As many of our campers, know, our New Hampshire campground offers gorgeous views of the fall foliage, but it's also important to explore the surrounding areas for even more photo opportunities! We roped together a few places we recommend for scenic views of the fall colors below:
White Mountains
The White Mountains in the fall are breathtaking - they cover about a quarter of the state of New Hampshire and are located less than 2 hours from our campground, but it is worth the drive! You can view the scenery via a drive, or getting out on a family hike.
Lake Winnipesaukee
Only 30 minutes from our campground, you will find the beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. During the fall you can take a scenic drive around the lake which is about 60-134 miles long but if offers amazing views of the lake, towns and villages along the shoreline.
Rocky Gorge Scenic Area
Located about an hour from our Camp-Resort, you will find the Rocky Gorge Scenic Area. This is not only beautiful in the fall but it is a waterfall and picnic area along the Swift River where you can enjoy a day out with the family.
