If you're visiting our Camp-Resort this season, you'll probably need a few suggestions for things to do outside of our New Hampshire campground! With all that we have to offer, you won't need to leave our Milton campground unless you're itching to explore the surrounding area! Lakes Region and neighboring towns have plenty of options for family-friendly things to do. Here is a mix of 10 things to do in Lakes Region to keep in mind for your next stay with us!

First on our lists of things to do in Lakes Region is a ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway. It is one of the world's great rail adventures, and has been making its dramatic ascent to the summit of the highest peak in the Northeast for over 150 years. A ride on the Cog Railway not only provides stunning views but also a glimpse into the rich history of this pioneering transportation feat.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

On our list of top things to do in Lakes Region is the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center. Open meadows, mature forests, and marsh boardwalks connect interactive natural exhibits where native animals reside: black bear, mountain lion, raptors, river otter, bobcat, and more. Only an hour away from our Lakes Region campground is the Granite State Rail Bikes. Enjoy a 5-mile round trip Rail Bike ride along the shores of Lake Winnisquam, New Hampshire’s 4th largest lake! Prices are $159.49 per Rail Bike that fits 1-4 riders on a 90 minute trip.
